  • Arrival of your flight at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by representative outside customs and immigration hall, Safari briefing then introduction to your driver guide.

  • After breakfast at 08h30, you will proceed on a morning tour of Kigali city that includes The Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, Inema arts centre &Kimironko local market. Lunch will be at the Pilipili Restaurant.

Highlight: After the 1994 unspeakable awfulness, several burial places in the country were established as memorial sites. They include the Kigali Genocide Memorial where 250,000 genocide victims were buried. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide; learn about other genocides in the world and how this country has dealt with that past.

  • Campaign Against Genocide Museum. This is located in the Parliamentary building, in Kigali just 800 meters behind conventional center road point, and just 4.9km, 9 minutes’ drive from Kanombe Airport. This campaign against Genocide Museum was opened officially on 13th December, 2017 by H.E Paul Kagame.
  • CAG Museum depicts in details how the Campaign Against Genocide Plan was executed by RPF/A following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi under the mercy of the Genocidaires and how only the RPF/A forces who were in the war of liberatio n took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide, Rescue victims of Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces. This CAG Museum also has its outer part comprised of monuments including that of the 12.7mm Machine Gun that helped in containing the advancing genocidal forces.

Inema Arts Center spurs creativity for personal, social, and economic growth. Here, you will witness the use of creative expression to bring the community and country alive.

The local market of Kimironko is a lovely kaleidoscope of colors.
East Africa is known for its buzzing, colorful, and distinctive markets, and Rwanda is no exception. Kimironko Market, locate d in the Kimironko neighborhood of Kigali, is the busiest market in town. Vendors here sell produce from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, while locals from all over the city head here to stock up on fruit, vegetables, fabric, clothing, shoes, and general household necessities.
This is the place to experience Rwanda at its liveliest.

  • Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner at a recommended restaurant will live band (to be advised)and overnight stay.

  • Early breakfast at the hotel, 6h30: Transfer to Muhanga arriving at the 8h00. You will have an introduction about the Azizi e xperiences and later start your day at your host community.
    Experiences include; hoeing, planting, and fetching water from the valley spring.
  • 12h30: The artisans will serve a cooked vegetarian meal typical for local families, such as cassava and beans. During this break you have time to ask your hosts about life in their community. They may have questions for you too about life in your home country.
  • Afternoon you will do crafting creating simple items with local fibers.

  • 15h30: Departure from your host community and return to Azizi life Muhanga for a cold drink. Depart for Kigali and arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and settle all extras. Have a scenic drive to Akagera National Park by driver guide. Arrive
    Magashi Camp followed by your lunch.

Magashi Camp is situated in the productive and phenomenally diverse north-eastern corner of Akagera National Park, overlooking beautiful Lake Rwanyakazinga. Akagera comprises some of the most scenic savannah in East Africa – open plains, woodlands, lakes, swamp, and grassy low mountains – and is home to one of Africa’s highest hippo densities, some very large crocodiles as well as the rare sitatunga and more than 520 bird species. Teeming with plains game, Akagera now also boasts a healthy population of lion, which were reintroduced into the park in 2015 after a 20- year absence, as well as black rhino which were reintroduced in 2017. Magashi – the only exclusive-use area in Akagera – also harbours a good density of leopard.

Six spacious and airy tents offer uninterrupted views over Lake Rwanyakazinga, while Magashi’s main area comprises a luxuriou s lounge, dining and bar area, pool, and expansive viewing deck with a convivial fire pit. The architecture and interiors pay homage to traditional Rwandan culture.

Magashi offers boat safaris on Lake Rwanyakazinga, an excellent way to view the area’s aquatic animals and water birds. And because t he camp is located in Akagera’s only concession, guests can enjoy guided walks and thrilling night game drives. Guests will be able to view a range of wildlife on expertly-guided game drives, walks and boating trips, including buffalo, lion, elephant, giraffe, spotted hyaena, zebra, topi, roan, eland and search for the elusive leopard. The Park also boasts almost 500 species of birds.

  • Leisurely breakfast at the camp. Check out and transfer to the airstrip for your scenic helicopter flight around the park(1 hr) before departing to NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK at11h00. Land at Kamembe by 12h10. Our driver guide will transfer you to your hotel.

  •  Lunch and afternoon is at leisure or take a walk

  • Chimpanzee tracking activity in Nyungwe Forest National Park the activity starts at 06h00. You will enter into the forest when its dark but you will be able to see primate species such as Colobus monkeys, forest birds and later, you will be able to see the chimpanz ees when its already day time.

  •  After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return at around 11h00, an early your lunch
  • 13h40: You will be driven to Uwinka RDB offices for the canopy walk briefing at 14h30. Your guided canopy walk starts at 15h00.

The Canopy walkway consists of three bridges and three towers and is a total length of the walkway is160m.The walkway is embedded in a guided tour along Igishigishigi Trail. Taking this tour, a specialized Park Guide will not only show you the forest canopy but also explain why it is an integral part of the tropical rainforest ecosystem.

  • 07h00: Breakfast, you will be transferred to the park offices for briefing before heading into the forest with your guides for yet a memorable experience.

The waterfall trail that starts by the lodge and descends into the forest proper, following flat contour paths through a succession of tree-fern- covered ravines, and crossing several streams, before a sharp descent to the base of the pretty but small waterfall. It takes four hours to cover as a round trip, depending on how often you stop.

  • Return to the hotel for your lunch. This afternoon you will visit the Gisakura tea factory
  • 15h30: You will have a guided tour of Gisakura Tea plantation and factory. Tea is Rwanda’s largest export, and you can see it in the landscape.
    Tea leaves cover the mountains and give a dark green contrast to the blue skies, dirt roads and sunshine. Fertile volcanic soils provide for the perfect tea making environment, making Rwanda the perfect home for these endless plantations. You can discover how tea is harvested and e ven get to taste the specialty!

  • 06h30: After an early breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the park headquarters in time for Gorilla Trek briefing at 07h00.
  • We will then transfer you to the trail head of your guided walk that begins at 08h00.

Volcanoes National Park is the Rwandan section of the great volcanic massif called the Virunga Mountains that straddles the b orders of Rwanda, Uganda and the DRC. The massif covers a huge area of over 8,000km², encompassing six active and three extinct volcanoes. There is no other wildlife experience quite like an encounter with mountain gorillas. That precious hour spent in their compa ny – watching the
group playing, sulking, teasing each other, eating, or dozing just like we do – is extraordinary. And the gorilla tracking safaris in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park are among the best in Africa.

Rwanda is now home to twelve habituated groups of mountain gorillas that are scattered all over Volcanoes National Park. Gorilla trekking can be arduous – some of the groups wander high up the mountainsides – but it is always utterly rewarding. Volcanoes National Park also has a historic connection with gorilla conservation.

  • Today, you have an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for Golden monkey trekking briefing. The Tracking usually takes about 4 hrs. Once you come to the habituated families, you will spend the allowed one hour with them as they go about their daily life.

Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Mitis Kandti) is a local subspecies of the widespread Sykes Monkey, also known as the “Blue Monkey” and is endemic to the high altitude forests. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive and often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor. There are two habi tuated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo.


  • After this memorable experience, you will return to the house for your lunch.
  • You will proceed to a nearby village for a guided walk to experience how daily activities are carried out like cultivating, basket weaving, local bee keeping, curving, butter churning etc.

  • This day you have optional activities to choose from the include; Canoeing on River Mukungwa
    Clients regularly comment that this is an incredible birding experience. With nearly 40 species of birds found along the river, experienced birders regularly sight over 20 species on any single trip.


 Cycling to the Twin Lakes (Burera & Ruhondo) These are beautiful lakes located at the base of Mountain Muhabura and close to the border with Uganda. Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo are surrounded by steep hills and large waterfalls with a backdrop of the Virunga volcanic mountains. Burera and Ruhondo are separated by a 1km wide strip of land. Water flows from Lake Burera to Lake Ruhondo. Lake Ruhondo and Lake Burera have a combined area surface of 2800 hectare. It’s 17 km from Musanze town which is 34 km in total. During the v illage ride to the twin lake it gives you time to interact with local people on your way. Lunch will be served at the beautiful Ruhondo resort which we take after crossing the lake with a canoe. Fresh Rwandan coffee is available and you can choose to have fresh fish from the lake on your menu with views of 5 peaks of the volcanoes.

  • Breakfast at the hotel, check out you will be driven to Question Coffee café for a Master class session.
    The class starts where coffee transforms from a seed into a fruit-bearing tree—the farm. Our cafe features a coffee thriving garden that is representative of a classic Rwandan coffee farm, where we’ll explain the steps that go into coffee agronomy and harvesting. A fter you’ve learned about coffee agronomy, harvested ripe cherries, and tasted the sweet coffee fruit, you’ll de-pulp your harvest and learn how it’s processed in order to be ready for roasting

  • Lunch at Sole Luna Restaurant.
  • Later proceed to Thousand Hills Distillery starting with the tour of the plant followed by cocktail snacks. Founded in 2014 by two gentlemen with a love of fine whisky, stunning views and a strong sense of pride in working with local communities, 1000 Hills Distillery wa s born. But like most great ideas, originally they thought of starting a vineyard, but lucky for us, they thought better! To be honest, it’s a challenge to find high quality ingredients, but one of the reasons we chose Rwanda in addition to the amazing resilience of the country is that we could sou rce materials locally, thus supporting micro and small businesses.

  • This afternoon, you will visit some craft centers for viewing and purchasing souvenirs i.e Kaplaki, Gahaya links, House of Tayo etc
